Faux fur infinity scarf–last minute gift idea!
I’ve learned you can lean a lot on awesome materials to elevate a simple project. This infinity scarf is one such example. It’s made out of this beautiful teal and black striped fur from Mood Fabrics. I got a yard–enough to make two scarves. A few years back I made a similar one in the plum colorway and I wear it all the time. It’s super cozy.
Infinity scarves are pretty easy to make. You just make a tube out the fabric and then sew the raw ends together to form a loop. There are plenty of tutorials out there: this one is pretty much the method I followed. I made it long enough to loop twice around the neck for extra warmth.
These scarves make great affordable gifts ($25 bucks makes two scarves). Especially considering that Antropologie is selling similar scarves for upwards of $58 a pop. I’m hoping the picky teenager on my gift list loves hers. Wish me luck!
